As the year comes to an end, it’s just the beginning for Florida’s car scene. We bring in the season with Simply Clean over in Daytona Beach. Tons of cars of every make and model flood the streets and beaches of the East coast for the weekend. The weekend following Simply Clean is the event all of us European enthusiast are prepping for – FixxFest; presented by UroTuning.
We don’t know what it is folks, but something about the Caribbean just keeps on pulling us back. Hell the scenery alone is enough to captivate the heart and minds of many across the globe. But we think its something else, another element that simply makes it feel like home. For us there’s one island in particular that coincides with this feeling, Puerto Rico. Where else can you have nice view of crystal blue waters boarded with white sandy beaches and some eye pleasing dubs in the background? Did we mention the food is literally to die for and the women, ah a topic for another time I suppose. But for today’s topic, we’re gonna have a chat with another Puerto Rico local whose MKIV Jetta is equally as stunning as the women. As always we’ll pick and prod to see what goes on in the mind of this fellow enthusiast, to see where the passion began, and what the future may hold. So all aboard on our trip to Puerto Rico to further inspect Vince and his MKIV Jetta.
Now in its fifth installment, the Canibeat crew have created an event that everyone in the community looks forward to be a part of every October. The event is located at the Princeton airport, and the set up is in the perfect location to show case your latest build and for photographers to catch some amazing photographs. First Class Fitment is pure of “Quality over Quantity” machines, a motto we strongly follow.
Seldom do we meet people who can see things on a larger scale than what we can see ourselves. Even more rare to meet people who tell things as they are without a care of how people will perceive them afterwards. We crave those people. Those who have an open mindset and see things as they are. I have met very few people who have this outlook on things outside of the car community. But when its someone who is within the community, someone you share a common bond with, it becomes an interesting friendship. It’s knowing that no matter what questions you have, there’s someone to give you an outside perspective on the way things are. For us, that go to person is none other than Matt Greene (@mattgreenevw). Matt is a U.S. Army Veteran who has served for our country over seas in the middle east. He is also probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the community, bar none. These attributes aside, Matt has seen what our community started out as and what it has become today. Some of you may read this solely to gaze upon the beauty that is Matt’s MKIII Jetta. While others may not agree with what we will discuss. But we aren’t here to please the masses, nor is Matt here for the “scene points.” Without further a due, here is our feature on Matt Greene and his 94′ Volkswagen Jetta.
