Field Werks is a free car show put on by a small group of friends from Western Massachusetts, currently running for 3 years strong. The show started on the notion that a car show should be fun, and no notion of who is allowed to go. Some of the vendors of this years show included Foundation Blue, Fitment Werks, and Morini Performance. This show pulls a huge crowd thanks to the fact that it’s free to show your car and spectate. People from all over New England came down to Ludlow Massachusetts to have good times with good friends. It started off as a chilly Sunday in September at the Elks Lodge in Ludlow Mass. When my girlfriend and I pulled in, already the back fence and tree line were filling up quickly and it was only a matter of time before the show field was packed. Field Werks was a great show and sort of a nice preamble to those of us from New England making the trip down to Ocean City for H2Oi.
You know that feeling when you have a day off, and you think of all the fun you’re going to have by not doing a damn thing? I totally had that feeling Tuesday morning as I arose from slumber sometime in what I suspected to be the afternoon. Until I realized I never have a day off from Dub Empire, not to mention we have so much stuff in the works! So as I mustered strength to understand what was actually going on today, I came to realize we had to shoot Alex Bukalo’s incredibly sophisticated Alpine White BMW M3. At this point I had no care in the world that I had to actually get out my house, because seeing this car in person is absolutely worth it.
Coming from the tropical island of Puerto Rico, where the stanced-out, low-life scene is something relatively new and not everyone knows how to pull it off, especially with European cars, this 2000 BMW E46 325i owned by Xavier Santiago (@xaviman) has managed to put together an eye catching, neck breaking work of art.
Being hosted at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA it has become one of the biggest European car events on the west coast, perfect location to host an event of this size, over 4 thousands cars.
There’s always been a feeling surrounding Beetles when it comes to us Dub aficionados, is it the shape? The age? The fact that its air-cooled? The history? To this day and age I’m still not sure despite having a bug in the family. They honestly don’t call it the bug for nothing…Once you get into them they really do infect you and take over you, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Ah, Saturday morning. For most people, you sleep in and wake up sometime around sunset. Or if you still live under your parents roof it means getting up to do all the chores you haven’t done throughout the week. But for us here at DE!, it means getting up at the ass crack of dawn to shoot one of the most photogenic cars in Orlando. We’ll give you guys a breakdown of our day, talk about one of the friendliest/most humble person in the scene, and get into the specifics of his gorgeous Audi A4. So without further adue, lets jump into the ‘Labor Day Drop’ with our friend, Jaime Soto.
